We collect and store the minimum amount of data necessary to provide the Glotemp service:

• Language preference – stored locally in your browser via localStorage so the app remembers your chosen language.
• Mood check-in data – your anonymous mood submissions and your star/contributor count are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers.
• Cookie consent choice – stored in localStorage to avoid showing the consent banner repeatedly.
• Contact email (optional) – if you choose to contact us via email at info@glotemp.com, we will use your email address solely to respond to your enquiry.
• Optional observatory account details – if you claim a Constellation badge, your email, display name, and optional public note are stored locally in your browser for this prototype experience.
• Observation intake fields – when you record an observation, the intensity level, scene type, language lens, contribution cadence, and optional local context note are stored locally in your browser via localStorage (under glotemp-observatory) and are not transmitted to our servers.
• Invisible human-only observatory counter – the site performs local heuristics to filter obvious bots, automated browsers, and crawlers before incrementing the internal visitor count used for Constellation Moments.

3. No Third-Party Tracking

Glotemp does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share your data with any third parties.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage (functionally equivalent to cookies) only for essential purposes: remembering your language preference and your local mood data. This is permitted under UK PECR for strictly necessary storage.
